Hair loss in men
Posted on 14 March 2008 by admin
Hair loss in men is part of an increasing lifestyle statement in a trendy society. While hair loss might be a daunting thing to look forward for males, the commonality of men when it comes to hair loss teaches us that people who do not have hair are in some ways… “cooler.” While having age-old hair is the “it” today, hair loss in men should not be regarded as a physical condition far removed from the norm.
Hair Loss Myths in Men
The greatest male intellectuals have probably thought about the different myths of hair loss in men. However, if it was way more important, Albert Einstein would instead be inventing the Theory of Hair Loss instead of his usual “relativity.” The greatest classical thinkers are imagined as bald men with their thinking coconuts. With these examples, there are different myths and perceptions about hair loss in men that could make people pop the pill.
One critical misconception about hair loss in men is that it comes from the mother’s side. While this can be a form to blame women of a male problem, a bald mother does not mean a bald son. Thus, hair loss in men can come from either side of the family.
Another humorous misconception about hair loss in men is that it happens to people who usually wear hats. There is no study to believe that this is true. Let us just bask with the fact that hair loss happens, hat or no hat. If that were the case, baseball players and American football players should have hair loss by the time they retire. Yet most of the obviously bald sports figures come from basketball and they don’t wear hats.
Still, people think hair loss in men is greatly caused by different hair products. For males, this myth might have come from the fact that males should not be too vain about their hair. However, it is proven that one can put in gel, shampoo, or mousse and not lose one’s hair. So if you are afraid to put in hair products, just apply as desired.
Increase Confidence with Hair Loss in Men
While hair loss in men is normally common, most men still experience the “Samson Syndrome,” or the lost of confidence directly associated with hair loss. Decreasing self-confidence in males leads them to think that they feel more unattractive to women than when they had hair, and that they feel less capable as men. These feelings lead to male stress and depression.
Hair loss in men also decreases one’s self confidence due to the teasing culture of people directed to bald men. While these forms are generally good-natured, male with hair loss may construe it as a reflection of their male image and appeal. In the end, males with “Samson Syndrome” can readily identify hair loss in men as the culprit of decreasing self-confidence.
However, there are more numerous cases where people rise above decreasing self-confidence. Adapting to a new look is a matter of perception and positive outlook. If you can identify your feelings, adjusting to hair loss is a matter of finding a new perspective. Let your hair loss work to your advantage.
